Copper and more than 450 of its alloys is proved to have intrinsic antibacterial effect. This wide range of alloys gives us potential to use all kind of mechanical properties and appearances. Tendency to use stainless steel, silver or aluminum like color makes pure copper coating less useful in medical devices and applications and also pure copper loses its gloss quickly and it has a low wear resistant. In this research characterization, antibacterial and mechanical properties of german silver nanostructured coatings has been investigated. Two samples with german silver coatings on plain carbon steel and two samples of 304 stainless steel with different surface roughnesses were provided.
