T oday, cost reduction in operational projects is one of the main concerns of all managers. This goal is specifically more vital in mineral exploration because of huge amount of costs and risks which such a projects deal with. Stepwise Performing of exploration projects is a method of cost reduction in which more favorable regions introduce in each level for more detailed studies. In this project, an exploration effort has been carried out in Mahallat 1:100,000 geological sheet and a specific part of region has been suggested as more favorable area for Carlin-type gold mineralization. Information layers used in this study includes 1:100,000 geological sheet layer, Aster satellite images as well as airborne geomagnetic data with lag of 7.5 Kms. in order to achieve more precise results, exploratory evidences in Akhtarchi gold mine as the only active gold mine in the region have been used. After Evaluating Mine Exploratory Evidences, it revealed that gold mineralization in the region has a tight association with normal faults, intrusive bodies and Iron oxide staining. After processing of each layer, All information layers has been integrated in GIS using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) decision making method. In final integration, about 12% of the study area has been introduced as high potential zone. on the next step, some check point designed to verify the results correctness considering the access roads and topographical conditions of study area. By performing field studies, some areas with similar Mineralization properties of Akhtarchi zone highlighted and suggested for further exploration efforts.
