Site selection of installation of the instrument has a great impact on the initial and final investment of the instrument, slop stability and mining operations. Today, due to safety considerations installation of the instrument as primary means of controlling the stability in the developed countries has been used. sharcheshmeh copper mine with area equal 3.6 KM 2 Contain up to 48 steps on the west wall that now the stability of the west wall is important issues in mine. According to studies on the situation of geological and geomechanical rock mass in mine The installation of the instrument on the west wall is considered as the only factor controlling stability. In order to locate the installation of the instrument in west wall of sharcheshmeh copper mine, geographic information system (GIS) was used. To get a better response, the parameters that have the potential to become map, identified and converted into maps. Then, the site selection was performed using Arcmap software. In this study, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy logic methods were used. Basic parameters, such as geology, alteration, head of pyzometer, faults, joint condition, joint spacing, GSI, RMR, RQD, UCS, altitude, slope and aspect were used as maps in a GIS. Each Layer was georeferenced, made into raster (wherever applicable), weighted and reclassified using Arcmap software. The weights for the layers were determined using AHP method. Finally, the data layers were integrated using fuzzy method. An appropriate map for installation of the instrument in west wall of sharcheshmeh copper mine was produced. Finally, after field survey, the several proposed areas were identified for further investigation.
