Energy has the largest proportion of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere of Iran. Otherwise, Iran has a significant potential for exploitation of renewable energy resources (as a substitute for non- renewable energy resources and fossil fuels’ pollutants). So, technology transferring from developed countries to Iran is an inevitable beneficial solution for improving the exploitation of these constant energy sources because there are not adequate infrastructures there and also the technology of renewable energy is highly developed in other places. The present study strategically (SWOT) analysed the acquisition and transferring of renewable technologies in Iran by investigating the status of renewable energy sources there. Meanwhile, by introducing a new comprehensive model for modern transferring technologies, such as renewable technologies, this study provided a framework for prioritizing modern renewable technologies according to Iran’s circumstances. Within this study’s framework, the appropriate technologies and methods of transferring technologies based on the literature review and analyzing the viewpoints of experts in this area (AHP method) have been evaluated and determined. This study‘s framework can leads the managers, policy makers, industrialists and researchers in the field of transferring and acquisition of renewable technologies in next coming studies.
