Poly(styrene) (PS) is a general polymer and its impact property is very weak. For solving this problem researchers were blending this polymer with poly(cis 1,4 –butadiene) (PB). Blend of these polymers is immiscible and use of compatible agent is necessary. In this study rheologycal and mechanical properties of blend with two compatibilizer agents and without any compatibilizer agents were studied. Also the effect of electrom beam and nano clay on blend whit most effiective compatibilizer was investigated. Mixing process has been done by using internal mixing. Linear viscoelstic properties, rheology, electron radiation and nomination of layer of nanoclay distance have been investigated by using, dynamic rheometer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron beam machine and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In first part of this study, effect of different amount of compatible agents, styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), and styrene butadiene styrene () on mechanical and rheological properties and morphology of blend have been investigated. Results show that is better than SBR as a compatible agent for blending and the blend with 9wt% rubber has the best toughness property. The breacking strength increase as radiated sampls undergone tensile testing. It was due to PB crosslinking in the blends of PS/PB. Meanwhile the impact strength of radiated sampls were decreased. According to results, blending of PS with PB by using compatible agent and nanoclay particles is the way to increase the impact properties of PS.
