Waste chicken fat is a degradable material that causes environment deseas. calcium fat powder is an high value material can product from waste chicken fat. In this project, the operational parameters were optimized such as temperature, water to oil ratio, stoichiometric factors and time of reaction by using a lab-scale pilot. Quality parameters of produced calcium fat powder is measurement by FTIR, moisture, ash, calcium content and fatty acid profile and compare to trademark sample. All of parameters were good or excellent. A waste water containing glycerol produced as a Bi-product. This glycerol can be used as a carbon source for microbial growth. Waste proteins and tissues from animals are another degradable materials. They can be used as a nitrogen source for microbial growth. But this wastes should to be hydrolysate. In this project, optimized the hydrolysis process of proteins from tissues. Then used the glycerol and hydrolysate in microbial medium for growthing S.cerevisiae, E.coli and S.marcescens.
