Computational wind engineering is becoming so populr in the wind engineering community for prediction of wind load on building and structure. the most basic and requirement of Computational wind engineering is successful modeling of turbulent flow. many turbulence model have been proposed and tested for verity of flow but the are not accurate enough to simulate the bluff body aerodynamics accurately. One of the major problems encountered in modeling was the type of the near wall treatment for simulating. the development of equilibrium boundary layer in wind tunnel used as a test condition for studying the deficiency in different type of near wall approach. it was concluded that the satandard approach of wall function was insufficient to estimate the effect of roughness on the wall boundary on the mean flow. a new rough wall model proposed by Durbin was implemented using the UDF and then applied in this project to analyze the effects on the rough wall. overall agreement for modeling near wall effects between computational prediction and experiment was acceptable. .
