Structural strengthening has been turned into one of the current engineering challenges while eroding urban infrastructure. Bonding FRP on the tension face of beam is one of the concrete beam strengthening ways. The phenomenon of FRP plate debonding of concrete layer is the major problem in this strengthening method.Debonding issue causes early failure concrete. EBR method is used for preventing debonding issue.in this method (EBR) to make a better conjunction between FRP plate and concrete, befor plate conjunction ,concrete surface is being redgid with different ways and creep of concrete is being scraped.EBR method has some problems like causing cloud , environmental contaminatio n, lack of possibility of structures exploitation and also lack of sufficient confidence in fine performance of this method.so in recent years different types like grooving method and holing method are proposed to replace EBR method. In this research to develop and complete holing method, the possibility of replacement this method for EBR method has been dealt by introduction of new screwing method. In this research 70 non-reinforced prismatic specimens with the dimensions of 100×100×500 mm and 6 reinforced specimens of 120×140×1000 dimensions have been examined under the four point loading test. These specimens have been examined by various strengthening methods by using FRP plates including strengthening without externally bonded reinforcement(EBR), strengthening by EBR method, strengthening by holing method, strengthening by screwing method, strengthening by controlling the plate through holes and strengthening by harnessing the plate through transverse grooves. Some of the specimens has been examined with no strengthening as control samples. The results show that the ERP method and the grooving method can increase the ultimate failure load and the ductility of the beam, though they can’t prevent debonding. Beside the better use of ultimate capacity of the beam and achieving favorable ductility, using the screw method prevents debonding issue. In this study, the use of screw method in specimens with out internal reinforcements, increases the bearing capacity and the ultimate displacement of midspan in comparison with specimens with EBR, 48% in the best conditio also the use of screw method in comparison with EBR method, shows a considerable effect on the ductility and bearing of specimens with internal reinforcement; such that by using this method, in relation to reinforced concrete beams 37% and 128% increasing in the bearing capacity and the ultimate displacement of midspan has been achieved espectively in comparison with specimens strengthened by the use of EBR method.
