Language: Farsi Supervisors: Dr. Bashir Movahedian (b.movahedian@cc.iut.ac.ir) The purpose of this study is to present and build a qualitative model in order to improve the modeling of various types of structural frames with the approach of improving the level of educating in structural concepts. The idea of using a magnetic sphere and spring, which is one of the most successful structural simulations, has been used in the past. In this thesis, according to the needs of the educational sector, economic criteria and the availability of consumables, the disadvantages of previous models have been eliminated and it has made it possible to simulate a wide range of structures. In this regard, in the first chapter, according to the background of using qualitative models in the teaching of structural sciences, the present study is targeted and the path to achieve the goal is determined. The following is the theory of compression springs that is the basis of the present model. The manufacture of parts, which covers a large part of this research, has been examined in accordance with the manufacturing process and finding the final samples. Each sample was subjected to relevant tests and analyzed by software analysis for finalization. Abaqus and SAP2000 software have been used for this purpose. Then the structures made with the final samples were loaded and the results were compared with the results extracted from the software. In the final part of the thesis, by introducing the numerical method of spectral finite element, the recorded deformations of the experiments are compared with the results of the analysis of structures using this method. Key Words Qualitative model, Spring structure, Sphere and Spring, Structural Frames, Compression Spring
