Nowadays increase in population and private cars' usage has caused a decrease in the level of service of urban road network. So evaluation, selection and spread of efficient and effective public traortation system are important necessities to increase the quality of urban traortation facilities. Since in decision making about prioritization of current alternatives we have to deal with various and inconsistent criteria, using a multi-criteria decision making approach in which dependency between criteria is taken into consideration well enough, is an efficient and effective method. On the other hand while there is ambiguity and uncertainty in decision making models, fuzzy value will replace individual judgments. In this study, fuzzy analytical network process based on group decision making process has been used to choose appropriate public traortation system in urban corridors. 30 effective factors in public traortation system selection has been investigated in 7 decision criteria including economical, financial, technical, environmental, cultural-social, strategic objectives and level of service. By asking 33 traortation, traffic and urban development experts, overall priority of mentioned criteria is 7, 9, 15, 16, 12, 24 and 17 respectively. In the next step by performing a case study in one of the under decision corridors in Isfahan, traortation experts ranking to 4 alternatives of regular buses, bus rapid transit, light rail transit and rapid rail transit (metro) has made metro to be chosen the best alternative in this corridor according to 30 investigated factors.
