The unique characteristics of switch reluctance machines like simple structure and soft, high reliability and chip price rather than the other motors, are the reasons for attention of researchers to this machine. Today because of the decrease of the prices of power electronic instruments, industrial attentions to these machines has increase. The modeling of this machine is one of objects that has been in researching and will simplify the work analyse of it. Using of looke-up table, because of high valume of data and need to more capacity rather than the analitic relation that dosen’t have the formula for work of machine has become the reason of this machine to be attended. In this thesis, the history of switch reluctance modeling and the different references has study and finally the improvement model has be showed. The studied models in this thesis, are in four categories. In the first part, the relation of flux-current according to curve fitting of look up table is computed. In the second part, the inductance of machine is computed by geometry of the machine. In the third part, the flux is modeled by computing the harmunics of the angels of rotor and stator and finally the fourth part, explains the methods according to some choosing algorithms that will be explained. In the last references, for computing of flux, the inductance access is used that decreases the certitude of the modeling. So to solve this problem by defining the goal function and mixing that function to geometry model the final model is proposed and the error is decreases and propose the better model rather than the geometry model. The results of this modeling is compared with the real experimental dada of the four phase machine. Key words : switched reluctance machine, modeling, electromagnetic flux, inductance
