Most of the events around us are happening in the fraction of a second that are not observable by human eyes. How they occur are very important and essential for researchers to discover the natural rules in order to develop the science. Nowadays with the technological advances the high speed digital cameras are producing which are capable of recording those events. Therefore, it is possible for researchers to observe every details of the events that mentioned earlier. In fact, high speed cameras record a fast event with high frame rate and then they play that recorded video sequences with normal frame rate (30 frames per second). These cameras are able to record thousands of frames per second. The capacity of produced data by these cameras are pretty huge. Hence, it is so essential to compress the recorded video sequences. By now, many different and efficient approaches have been presented for compression of those video sequences. High speed cameras, can produce the large amount of frames in a short period of time. Thus, these produced frames have less time to process in comparison with the frames of normal speed cameras. As a result, simpler and without complex computation approaches are preferable to compress produced frames of high frame rate cameras in real-time. The high frame rate cameras have been used in research areas, design and development, production and laboratories. In some of the cases it is essential to save all the details accurately. Therefore, lossless video compression is suitable for those cases. In this thesis, some lossless compression methods which are also consider as simple approaches are presented and one of them has been implemented. In addition, a novel and efficient architecture for hardware compression method, DPCM, is introduced.
