In this thesis, we introduce and study new notations of amenability for Banach algebras such as pseudo-amenability and pseudo-contractibility, and compare them with amenability and approximate amenability. We show that amenability and pseudo-amenability for group algebras are equivalents. We finally show that for any , the sequenced Banach algebra is pseudo-amenable but not approximately amenable.
