The Anti de Sitter, conformal field theory correspondence (AdS/CFT), has been developed since 1997. One of the cases examined, is the entanglement entropy. For example computing entanglement entropy for a conformal field theory is a difficult problem. It is shown that a quantity that is dual to entanglement entropy in conformal field theory that lives in the boundary of Anti de Sitter spacetime is a minimal surface area in Anti de Sitter spacetime. It is notable that the method of establishing this correspondence is the holographic method. One of the issues of current research is to calculate entanglement entropy by using AdS/CFT holography. This calculation gives some new information about strongly correlated systems. In this thesis, we first examined the Anti de Sitter conformal field theory correspondence qualitatively. Then we explain the entanglement entropy and holographic method briefly, then we calculate entanglement entropy in a simple example for a strip. Finally, we investigate entanglement entropy by using the holographic method for the charged black hole in arbitrary dimensions.
