ulfur dioxide counts as one of the most usable products from sulfur’s family and it has many applications such as food industry, chemical industry (such as sulfuric acid production), paper industry, textile Industry, etc. Molten sulfur has been used for sulfur dioxide production. This method has many barriers and problems such as high temperature output gas that need a cooling system. Also, in order to cool the produced gas via passing through water leads to production of sulfurous acid that it is so dangerous and very corrosive. A system for oxygen-free sulfur dioxide production via sulfur combustion without cooling system has been designed and a method for heating gas in reactions between gas phase and another non-gaseous reactant has been presented. In this method, the heated gas enters the reactor and initiate the reaction with solid or liquid reactant instead of melting solid materials or heating liquid reactant that leads to decomposition of reactants. This method prevents by-products generation. Also, this method saved the materials and reactants by creating reaction condition at the surface of solid or liquid reactant and prevented wasting materials. Through this design, the temperature of oxygen has reached to 150 oC to gain the temperature needed for sulfur combustion reaction by using aluminum conductive furnace and copper pipes as gas flow line and increasing the temperature of furnace up to 280 oC. The quantity of sulfur dioxide was determined via blowing produced Sulfur dioxide into water and titration of acidified water. The procedure of optimization and production of oxygen-free gas still continues
