poly(estre-imide)s (PEI)s, poly(amide-ester-imide)s (PAEI)s with direct polymerization via the codencing agent of tosyl chloride (TsCl), pyridine (Py) and N,N-dimethyl formamide In this project, we have synthesized novel optically active poly(amide-imide)s (PAI)s, (DMF). Monomers used in this projects are N,N' -(4,4'-hexafluoroisopropylidendiphthaloyl)- bis-L-isoleucine (26), aromatic dimaines and diols. The resulting products having viscosities of 0.46-0.62 dL/g, 0.35-0.66 dL/g and 0.49-0.61 dL/g respectiveluy were obtained in high yield and viscosity. They have high thermal stability and show opticall activity as well. Other novel PAIs synthesised via two various condencing agent of triphenyl phosphite (TPP) in ionic liquids (IL)s and TsCl/Py/DMF in direct polymerization. Monomers used in this projects are N,N' -(pyromellitoyl)-bis-L-methionine (44) and various aromatic diamines. These polymers have good thermally stable, yield and inherent viscosity. The resulting PAIs having inherent viscosity of 0.45-0.54 dL/g and 0.50-0.71 dL/g. All of the above polymers were fully characterized by FT-IR spestroscopy ,elemental analysis and specific rotation. Also thin, traarent film of these polymers cab be prepared.
