Catalysts are chemical compounds that increase the rate of chemical reactions.Among this catalysts, heterogenous catalysts in comparision with homogenous one have received great attention. Application of these catalysts has several advantages; such as recovery of them is easy; the purity of the products is higher compared with homogenous catalysts since heterogenous catalyst are selective and the formation of by-products is less significant. In this project we could synthesize The hydrogen 1,4-diazonia bicyclo[2.2.2] octan bisulfate (HDBOB) as an efficient acid catalyst for synthesising important organic compounds. Esters are important compounds that they have many applications in several parts of chemical industry auch as flavors, fragrances, solvents, and herbicides and medicinal. We can report an efficient and straghtforward method for synthesizing esters in presence of catalitic amount of HDBOB , We also can synthesize and charecterize alkyl iodies and bromides and considering suitable conditions for producting them with HDBOB. In the last part of this project solvent free protection of alcohols also were performed in the presence of catalytic amount of HDBOB to their corresponding tetrahydropyranyether.
