Runoff is one of the important parameters of the hydrologic cycle and water resource management, especially for watershed management. On the other hand, because of the recent floods in Iran, obtaining the amount of runoff from rainfall is necessary. To estimate the runoff in watersheds, numbers of methods have been developed. The SCS-CN method is the easiest and most comprehensive way to estimate the runoff that has been verified with the experimental data and extensive testing. Researchers have offered another models, which is derived from the original SCS-CN model. In this study, by selecting Ghale Shahrokh Catchment that is the one of sub-basin of the Zayanderood river, 16 rainfall-runoff events were divided from 1381 to 1390 and the amount of rainfall calculated from 11 stations and its direct runoff calculated by dividing hydrograph. The Curve Number calculated by examining the characteristics of the basin. In this study SCS-CN, Woodward et al. model, Jain et al. model, Cazier and Hawkins model, Ajmal et al models, Chen model have been used that in each mode, The initial ion relationship is in different forms and some of them are without this parameter. With three indicators for evaluation RMSE, n(t) and NSE, all models performance are well, and only Jain model shows an unsatisfactory performance. In this study the Jain model was modified and its coefficients and coefficients of initial ion relationship were estimated.( l=1.171,?=1.53). The original model of SCS-CN was modified and the parameter of l=0.295 estimated. Also the maximum potential retention of soil was calculated from the two methods, one by basin properties and through rainfall-runoff data and then the performance of the model were studied. Finally all approaches were analyzed together with three evaluation index RMSE, n (t) and NSE and models were arranged by highest to lowest performance. Chen model when the maximum potential retention of soil obtained by the characteristics of the basin, the original model SCS-CN, when maximum potential retention of soil obtained by rainfall and runoff observation data, and Chen model when the maximum potential retention of soil obtained by rainfall and runoff observation data, were known three top priorities for the chosen events in Ghale Shahrokh basin.
