Rosa hybdria is one the most popular flowers among cut flowers. There are multiple factors associated with quality and postharvest life of Roses after being cut, These factors are divided into two categories; preharvest and postharvest. Most important factors of preharvest stage which have a great impact on appearance quality and physiological traits and vase life are including irrigation condition, mineral nutrients and the amount and quality of light. Aamong these factors light is the major factors for flower quality and biosynthesis and pigment aggregation. light is not only a source of energy for photosynthesis but also is a stimulant in plant life cycle from germination to flowering. This research investigated the effect of different regime of supplementary LED light on physiological and morphological traits of two cultivars of cut Roses “Dolcevita” and “Allstar”. In this study there was a control group (growing with sunlight) and a group of flowers growing with two supplementary LEDs with 2000 and 4000 lux power and with wavelength of 60% red light to day light, nightlight and 24 hours light regime. This study was conducted as a factorial design based on completely randomized design (CRD) including 5 treatments in 3 reflection with 6 Rose shrub in each reputation. The results of this research showed that light regimes had positive effects on morphological traits such that supplementary LED light and a significant increase in the number of buds and harvested flower and also has a positive effect on growth indexes like; more of flower, lenthg and bud diameter, number of the leaves and dry and fresh weight. We had 20% growth in quality of flowers comparing to the control group with supplementary LED lights. Light regime caused a significant improvement in physiological aspects too. Postharvest life of 24 hours treatment with 2000 lux and daylight treatment group with 2000 lux showed a 35% increase comparing to the control. To sum up, the results of this study showed that employing of LED supplementary light regime for Roses in greenhouses can improve the quality of flowers and an increase the vase life because of increase in number and area of leaves, increase in amount of chlorophyll and finally an increase in photosynthesis and carbohydrates. So using of LED supplementary light regime in greenhouses is advised. Key Word: cut flower, LED, light intensity, light quality, supplementary light, Photosynthesis
