The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of two kinds of palm sources supplements with tow ration of corn silage and alfalfa hay on performance of dairy cows during mid-lactation. Eight multiparous Holstein dairy cows (DIM: 90 ± 14, body weight: 650 ± 45 kg, milk yield: 46.3 ± 7 kg/day) were used in a duplicated 4×4 Latin square design with a 2×2 arrangement of treatments. Each period consists of 14 day of adaptation fallowed by 7 days of data collection. Treatment were: 1) supplemental calcium salt of palm (3.5 % DM basis), with corn silage (30 %) and alfalfa hay (70 %) (Forage Dry matter basis). 2) Supplemental saturated granular palm (3.5 %), corn silage (30 %) and alfalfa hay (70 %). 3) Supplemental calcium salt of fat (3.18 %), corn silage (70%) and alfalfa hay (30 %). 4) Supplemental saturated granular palm (3.1 %), corn silage (70%) and alfalfa hay (30 %). Corn silage as forage source increased the proportion of the particles retained on sieve of the ?8mm and reduced the proportion of the particles retained on sieve of ?1.18mm (p?0.001) which led to increase of peNDF ? 1.18 (P?0.001). Chewing activity per kg of dry matter increased for diet based on corn silage. Sorting index was greater in top sieve of ?19mm (p?0.001) and lower in sieve of ?1.18mm (p?0.001) in diet based alfalfa hay then corn silage. body weight and body condition score is enhanced by this ratio .Dry mater intake has an increase for top sieve of (?19mm, p?0.001) and a decrease for top sieve of (?19mm, p?0.001) in 70% corn silage ratio. The presence of calcium salt fatty acid lead to increased liver AST, plasma albumin and total protein (0.01?p). The net intake energy was enhance in diet supplemented with calcium salt palm. Supplementing saturated palm increased dry matter intake, fNDF and ether extract. Diet based on alfalfa hay and calcium salt of palm increased DMI, fat percent, protein and lactose of milk, milk production. The result of present study shows that using diet based 70% alfalfa hay and calcium salt of palm improved milk production, milk efficiency of lactating dairy cow. Key words: corn silage, alfalfa hay, calcium salt of palm, saturated palm
