In this study, The feeding habits, age and growth of the Pomadasys stridens (Forsskal,1775), in the Northern part of Persian Gulf (Bushehr Province) were investigated between May 2010 to April 2011. In this regard, 540 specimens were analyzed. Total length of female ranged from 12.6 to 23 cm and male 11.7 to 22cm. Also, the weight of female fishes were from 27.4 to 144.8 gr and in the male fishes were ranged from 21 to 124.9 gr. The average of relative length of gut (RLG) index obtained (0.98). According to the general average value of vacuity index (VI=0.81%) obtained, that was obtained about 81% for all specimens, Pomadasys stridens was 0.0694 L 2.4398 (r 2 =0.89, n=385) for females, W= 0.0477 L 2.5701 (r 2 =0.88, n=155) for males and and W=0.0617 L 2.4804 (r 2 = 0.89) for total population. According to the values of b, both sexes showed a negative allometric growth. Parameter values of the Von Bertalanffy growth function were: K= 0.14, L?= 24.54cm (TL), t 0= -4.41 years for females and : K= 0.18, L?= 21.91cm (TL), t 0= -3.68 for males. The growth performance index )f´ (was estimated 4.45 for female and 4.43 for male indicated that the growth rate for female fishes is faster than male fishes.
