Inclination towards urbanization and population increases have accelerated the growth of cities and city life. This trend has had harmful effects on the conservation of natural environment. the growth of cities has caused the farms and suburbs to be changed to houses and industrial centers, this has diminished the green areas. The maintenance of a proper balance in cities needs convenient management of the resources and city planning. To achieve this end, one needs to take a look at the conditions of the past, to have a sound judgement and proper decisions for both the present and the feature. The development of cities has increased the leisure time of the people and has made them dependent on the urban green space. Therefore, the urban green space needs to be reconsidered for ecological reasons. Evaluation and revelation of variations is a process which in its' course the variations of a phenomenon are determined by observing it in various periods. In other words, it is a method for determination and manifestation of differences in at least two images in different periods of time. Revelation of variations helps the planners and managers both in monitoring the growth and development of city as well as monitoring plants during growth period and etc. Isfahan "City Garden" is one the cities that has changed in visage due to development of a majority of industries, excessive immigration of villagers, foundation of satellite towns in suburbs and the existence of impeding usages; thus the excessive growth of the city has destroyed a vast area of fertile lands and has reduced the green spaces. In this study, the aerial photographs of 1334 have been compared with the satellite images (IRS-P6) of 1386 to display the changes in the green areas. To this end, overlaying and post dir=ltr This investigation offers a more accurate estimation of green spaces comparing to the similar investigations through segregation of fallow areas in addition to green areas available in the time of photography. This study shows the important of remote sensing data in exact investigation of land and change detection for outmost time efficiency.
