Plant species characteristics are highly depend on environmental condition including edaphic, physiographic and climatic parameters. Daphne mucronata is a native plant species that grow in a large part of Iran. There is a moderately dense habitat of this species in Fereidunshahr - Isfahan. The study area was divided in four category based on the D. mucronata density including “Good”, “Moderate”, “Poor” and “None”. Stratified random sampling was used to collect vegetation information. Plant cover and density of all species in each habitat type were measured using ten plots with a size of four hundred square meters. Also soil samples from two depths including 0-30 and 30-60 cm of soil surface were collected at the foot of the individuals. Soil samples were analysed in laboratory and pH, EC, clay, silt and sand percentage, Na + , K + , Ca 2+ +Mg 2+ , lime, organic matter, SAR, ESP, phosphorus, gravel percentage of samples were measured. Also altitude, slope and aspect of all plots were recorded. Phenology or grow th stages of D.mucronata was studied qualitatively including the time of bud growing, leaf emergence, flowering, fruit forming, falling leaves and seed scattering. Also a quantitative method was used to document the changes of RGB in leaves, stems and fruits of D. mucronata monthly. Statistical analysis such as simple correlation, regression and ordination were performed to make the hypothesis about how D. mucronata interacts with measured attributes. .16 and CANOCO softwares were used to perform the analyses. According to results, lime, pH and silt of soil samples were the most important factors affecting the growth of D.mucronata in the study area. The D. mucronata cover percentage and its density was decreased as EC, Na + , Ca 2+ +Mg 2+ , SAR, ESP of soil increased. Also measured vegetation parameters of D. mucronata had significant relationship with its habitat altitude and slopes. The phonological records revealed that bud growing start in late March and leaf shading last until October. Flowering is at Juan and peak of fruiting is in August. Seeds ripen occur in September and scatter in October. Keywords: Daphne mucronata , autecology, ordination, phenology, central Zagros. .
