Cities are areas with impervious or low penetration lands which include different land uses which have significant ability to extract atmospheric precipitation. Designed network guidance, collection and disposal of surface water of cities can collect water surface caused by atmospheric precipitation approach to reduce the effects of water shortage, especially in arid and semi-arid areas in our country. In this study, we assess the position and physical-hydrological structures of Shahin Shahr city in terms of determinating possibility of collecting surface water and surface runoff potential production in various municipal units. Firstly, the study area was divided into three sub-basins. Then, daily runoff production in a 30-year period was calculated by HEC-HMS software for each of the three subbasing. Finally, the green areas water” demand was estimated and with the help of field work and DEM map, the area to collect runoff and reservoir construction site were determined. The results showed that reservoir construction site in sub-basin 1 at Gole-Sorkh Garden can supply water runoff for 4 consecutive months of 12 hectares of green space water demand. The reservoir construction site in sub-basin 2 at Imam Hosien Square can supply water runoff for 2 consecutive months of 20 hectares of green space water demand. The reservoir construction site in sub-basin 3 near Pardis town can even supply water runoff for all of the year of green space water demand and this site also can proride water runoff for a double space. Green space on well.
