In this method specification of structure is improved. Because of grouting, permeability of formation and formability of structures decrease. Moreover, y this method strength of formation increase. Impermeating of Shohada subway station soil has been done by sleeve grouting method. Steel pipes with 100 mm diameter, are being used in sleeve grouting method. According to previous investigations, grouting hasn’t had a special effect in decrease of the soil permeability of this subway station. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of grouting processes on improvement of soil strength and on decrease of lateral earth pressure on retaining wall of subway station. A numerical model was made according to data of the subway station. Effect of grouting and installation of grouting pipes on increase of strength of soil and on decrease of lateral earth pressure was investigated. Liao (1990) and parish’s (1983) methods was used to calculate soil lateral force. Parish method is according to soil lateral force in active condition. In this method the force on the wall is obtained from multiple of force in active condition to a safety factor for example 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. .
