The study area is located 70 km south - southwest of Yazd Province, in the central part of Urumieh-Dokhtar volcanic belt and within the Dehshir fault zone. The area covers approximately 2100 square kilometers. Geology, petrology, mineralogy and remote sensing of Darezereshk porphyry copper, Chah-e zard epithermal gold deposits and the area between these two deposits have been studied. The purpose of this study is to assess and determine the mineral potential of the area using a combination of geological and remote sensing data and fuzzy logic data integration modelling. In order to study the geology and the rock units related to the gold and copper mineralization of the area, the 1:100000 geological maps were examined and the binary map of the lithological units was prepared. Aster and ETM + satellite data were processed to detect alterations and iron oxides in the Darezereshk and Chah-e zard areas. The argillic, propylitic and phyllic alterations and the iron oxides were identified and separated in the region by processing Aster and ETM data. All the important geological units related to copper and gold mineralization were changed with a suitable format for using in a data integration modelling. The structures controling mineralization were achieved from the 1:100000 geological maps and faults density with 100 meters grids were used in the data integration model. Finally, using the integration of all the exploration data layers of the host lithologic units in relation to the mineralization, alterations and mineralization controllers and by using fuzzy logic data integration model, the copper and gold mineralization potential maps were prepared. This integrated model has been able to determine high potential copper and gold mineralization zones in the studied area for further exploration.
