The Purpose of the present investigation is to assess the success of Esfahan metallic greenhouses producing vegetables and summer crops, and also the factors which affect their success. From a geographical situation point and taking into consideration the access of each town to Zayandeh-roud water, this investigation divides Esfahan province into Zayandeh-roud watershed and no watershed basins, considering three zones of plainy, mountainous and desert in each basin. There are totally 303 metallic greenhouses in the province, producing vegetables and summer crops, of them, 170 greenhouses were selected, using Cokran formula. After indexation , dependant and independent variants and their reliability and validity were assessed which were acceptable. Using cross-tabulation, Chi-square, independent-samples T, factor analysis, and regression, the investigation data was analyzed. The results showed a higher than average level of success in 65 / 3 %, an average level in 31 / 8 %, and a lower than average level in 2 / 9 % of the greenhouses. The results also confirmed the effect of the managers’ gender, education, information, proficiency, scientific knowledge, and training classes they had attended, on the greenhouses success, while the connection between managers and the agricultural authorities, the area of the greenhouses, the marks they got for their plant-compression, good order and hygiene, fresh plants, and being devoid of pests and diseases, are ineffective on their success. The success in plainy zones, was also less than the desert and mountainous zones, while in modern method of management, it was more than the traditional method. Using the logistic regression of the managers’ individual characteristics variants, we came to conclusion that the gender, the level of education, and attending training classes have a meaningful relation with success, while scientific knowledge, proficiency and connections with agriculture authorities have meaningless relation with success
