: Today, access to accurate information about the inventory is very important. Delays and lack of accuracy in the inventory systems negatively affect the decision about inventory. This research designs and implements an automated inventory tracking system. This inventory management system collect data in the shortest possible time with the greatest accuracy. This paper first introduces issues such as the need to manage inventory and collect accurate data on existing systems. After that it introduce automatic data capture systems. Finally, based on the discussions as a case study, an automated inventory tracking system has been designed and implemented in Sairan Company. This system tracks inventory in two separate parts: tool warehouse and orders. In order to automate inventory tracking, barcode technology is used in this study. It helps to collect information about tools, machines, workers and orders in a very short and accurate way. The designed Automated inventory tracking system consists of two parts: hardware and software . The software includes a database and a collection of reports and forms to communicate with the user which is coded by C# langauge. The hardware part includes devices such as barcode readers and data collectors to gather accurate and timely data available on the shop floor. With accurate and timely data entry into the database, it is possible to provide the exact status of inventory in warehouse and shop floor for management.
