Earth available resources for human exploitation are limited. These resources are being destroyed as a result of inappropriate use. Population growth, expansion of human activities in the nature, inappropriate land uses and non-excessive exploitation of water resources, soil and vegetation, have been caused desertification and land degradation. Therefore, to deal with this situation a comprehensive land use planning is required. Land use must be selected according to determined logical framework base on natural potential. Ecological classification in agricultural land use is essential for land use planning. Agricultural operation in poor fields, not only increase soil erosion, but also cause to loss resource crop yields. The most important problem facing the Isfahan province is water scarcity. Since approximately 87 percent of the conserved water in this province is dedicated to agricultural uses, scientific management can solve many critical challenges in this province. In this study, using land use maps, soil suitability for agriculture, rainy land suitability map, deserved and range suitability map, position and area of suitable lands for agriculture, unsuitable lands for agriculture, bare land and low fertility ranges which are suitable for agriculture and finally the suitable lands for rainy agriculture and deserved range were determined. On the other hand, the present and predicted irrigation yields were extracted from a strategic document and the executed land planning studies of the province. According to the findings, 6 scenarios were determined for the future of the province. For each scenario the decline in water saving for agricultural uses was predicted. Finally, the maps for the agricultural land conditions in the province were prepared in each scenario.
