Some antioxidant and imunulogical parameters of golden and typical rainbow trout were studied during fertilization, eyed, hatching and swim up stages. Ovum and milt were collected from 5 and 3 female and male broodstocks respectively, from each color group. The gametes of each studied group were mixed to avoid individual effects of broodfish. Fertilization was done at the same time and manner. The eggs were incubated in California through until swim up stage under the same condition. Sampling, 3 replicates from each group were done at 3 hours post fertilization, eyed, hatching and swim up stages. The survival was lower in golden trout in comparision to the typical ones at all studied stages (p 0.05). In general, immunological parameters were declined from fertilization till swim up stage in both groups (p 0.05). While the golden trout showed higher immunological parameters in comparison to the typical one (p 0.05). Antioxidant indicies were increased in both studied groups till eyed stages then reduced at swim up (p 0.05). However golden trout showed lower antioxidant indicies in comparisen to the typical one (p 0.05). It could be concluded that lower antioxidant defence indicies of golden fish during the incubation period was the main reason of the lower survival in comparison to the typical fish.
