In this project Al/MCM-41 with different molar ratio Al/Si was synthesized and employed in esterification of levulinic acid with n-butanol and iso-butanl. Corresponding esters synthesized by Al/MCM-41 up to 89 and 90% of yield for iso-butyl levulinate and n-butyl levulinate, respectively. The FT-IR، SEM، TEM، elemantal mapping، EDX، XRD، BET and pyridine-IR techniquies were employed to characterization of catalysts. Finally, effective parameters such as reaction time, temperature, molas ratio, catalyst dosage were optimized. Stability of catalysts were tested, and the result are compared by calcination and without calcination. The calcined catalyst showed better stability in several runs.
