In this project performance of synthesized SBA-Pr-SO 3 H and SBA-xCu heterogeneous catalysts in esterification reaction of levulinic acid with n-hexanol and also direct conversion of glucose to n-butyl levulinate in the presence of n-butanol, respectively has been investigated. FT-IR, SEM, TEM, elemental mapping, ICP, XRD, Nitrogen absorption and desorption analysis and pyridine adsorption has been employed in order to characterize aforementioned catalysts. Optimization of the reaction condition has been made. Optimal conditions for n-hexyl levulinate synthesis has been estimated to be 140 , 8 hours with 0.15 g of catalyst. The highest efficiency and conversion percentage obtained to be 94.5% and 100%, respectively, in 3:1 ratio of alcohol to acid. Also, in preparation of n-butyl levulinate, the best results were obtained, at 170 ° C in 4 hours, catalyst and glucose values ??were 0.05 and 0.07 g, respectively. Under these conditions, the best returns and conversion percentages has been 48% and 90%, respectively.
