Shotcrete can be used in tunnels and different concrete structures for supporting, lining and repairing of structures. To improve the strength propertiese of shotcrete, materials such as steel meshes, fibers and micro silica are added to the shotcrete. Recently, with the help of nanotechnology, the use of nano materials in a variety of cement mortar is spread. In this study, micro silica, nano silica and nano clay particles with values of 6, 9 and 12% (percent) by weight of cement were substituted in shotcrete. Prepared samples were applied under uniaxial compressive strength, flexure strength and indirect tensile strength (Brazilian test) tests and also density and porosity were determined. By increasing the percentage of micro silica and nano silica, increasing in compressive, flexure and Brazilian strength was observed. Also increasing the amount of nano clay, reduced compressive, flexure and Brazilian strengths. Compressive strength of samples containing 12% micro silica and nano silica improved 26% and 45% respectively rather than plain sample. But samples containing 12% of nano clay, decreased strength by 10%. flexure strength of samples containing 12% micro silica and nano silica improved 22% and 32% respectively rather than plain sample. However, samples containing 12% nano clay, decreased flexure strength by 15%. Indirect tensile strength of samples containing 12% micro silica and nano silica improved 26% and 44% respectively rather than plain sample but samples containing 12% of nano clay, decreased 20%. Compressive, flexure and indirect tensile strength of nano clay samples demonstrated a dual behavior. 6% nano clay particles improved mentioned strength but 9% and 12% nano clay reduced these strengths compared to plain sample.
