Button mushroom ( Agaricus bisporus ) from Agaricaceae family is the most common spices among edible mushrooms that are being produced in the world. Mushrooms do not have chlorophyll, and for their growth they depend on composted organic matter, the compost should have optimum level of macro and micro elements to produce acceptable yield. Therefore, in this study, the effects of adding calcium chloride in irrigation water and zinc sulfate to the bed compost on yield and quality of the mushroom were investigated. This study carried out in Khanevadeh Company in Imanshahr, Isfahan in 2014. Two separate experiments were performed, using randomized complete block design with four replications. In the first experiment, seven treatments were used; three concentrations of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 percent calcium chloride in irrigation water and three concentrations 50, 100 and 150 mg of zinc per kg of dry compost before casing and distilled water as control. The second experiment was conducted based on the results of the first experiment with five treatments, consisted of three concentrations 0.4%, 0.5% and 0.6% of calcium chloride in irrigation water and zinc with concentration of 100 mg/kg dry compost and distilled water as control. Result of first experiment showed that 0.4% and 0.5% of CaCl 2 increased yield moderate, but in second experiment increase yield by 13.1% and 4.5%, respectively. With increasing concentration of CaCl 2 to 0.6% in the second experiment, yield was reduced by 10.2%. Also, in both experiment 100 mg zinc/kg dry compost decreased yield respectively by 18, 8% compared with the control. Treatments in two experiments did not have significant effects on cap diameter, fresh and dry matter of button, length of stipe, extract pH, soluble solids, marketability, and concentration of vit C, zinc and calcium in tissues of button mushroom. Results demonstrated that the addition of different concentrations of zinc did not have positive effect on L- value but in the second experiment 0.4% calcium chloride in irrigation water showed a significant increase in L- value also concentration of 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6% CaCl2 caused a significant increase in firmness and reduced weight loss during storage in the second experiment.
