The present study was conducted out to evaluate Effects of iron and copper on some blood factors and also its effect on growth and immune of Holstein dairy calves. In this experiment, 52 Holstein Dairy Calves were used in a 67-day trial period (from 4 to 70 days old). The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design. Ih Each experimental treatment consisted of 13 calves (8 females and 5 males) experimental treatments included.1-control(Base diet without iron sulfate and copper sulfate),2-Base diet with iron sulfate, 100 mg/kg of dry matter(Fe),3-Base diet with copper sulfate, 10 mg/kg of dry matter(Cu),4-Base diets and milk with both iron sulfate and copper sulfate at the some level as treatment 2 and 3 (Fe+Cu) All calves were weaned at 60 d of experiment. During the experiment, calves received 4 kg of milk a day, and had free access to fresh water and feed Consumption dry matter, average daily gain; feed intake were calculated. Blood samples were collected from calves at 30 and 60 days of age Anti-coagulated blood was analyzed shortly after collection for: number of red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), heamatocrit (HCT), total leukocyte count (WBC), Platelet (Plt), Mean Cell Haemoglobin (MCH), Mean Cell Volume (MCV), Mean Cell Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), and leukocyte counts. Blood samples were collected from calves at 60 days of age for measuring for the determination of iron, Ceruloplasmin, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) concentrations..Result indicated that, The average daily weight gain of the whole period and also before weaning were higher in Fe+cu group than Con and Cu groups( P 0.05). Feed efficiency of the whole period were higher in Fe+cu group than Con and Cu groups ( P 0.05) and before weaning period in Fe+Cu group were higher than other groups. ( P 0.01).). Hb, Hct and MCV in Fe+Cu group were higher than other groups and only the Fe+Cu group with Cu group significantly( P 0.05)..MCHC in Fe group had a higher the Cu group(p 0.05). Serum Iron in Fe group had a higher control group (P 0.05). TIBC in Fe group had a lower control group (P 0.05)Serum Ceruloplasmin in O group had a higher C and F groups (P 0.05).Lymphocyte,neutrophils, neutrophils to Lymphocyte ratio There are disparate disagreements between the groups.
