No substance has ability of cleaning like soaps, but they have poor cleansing action in hard water. In this work hard water circulated at a constant flow rate in electromagnetic field produced by a solenoid coil electronic device. Treated water has used with soaps. The amount of calcium and magnesium ions from precipitation of sodium and potassium stearate and oleate in hard water have determined by using titration method or EDTA complexometry. Electric conductivity and surface tension of treated water was measured too. The results show that electromagnetic field has meaningful effect on properties of hard water like electric conductivity and surface tension. The electric conductivity and surface tension increased about 9 and 5 percent respectively in treated hard water. Also it has shown that the electromagnetic fields decrease the total amount of calcium and magnesium ions from precipitation of sodium and potassium stearate and oleate in hard water. The maximum amount of this reduction is 17 percent about potassium oleate. The optimum strength of electromagnetic filed is 53 mT and the optimum time is 3 min. This effect is more evident when solution pH and current in solenoid increase.
