TITLE

The Effect of Syntan and Metal Complex on Improvement of Wash and Light Fastness on Dyeing of Silk with Basic, Reactive and Metal Complex Dyes
In this work, improvement of wash and light fastness of basic, reactive and metal complex acid dyes applied to silk fiber by aftertreatment with syntan, syntan/metal salts and tannic acid/enzymes were investigated. The degummed and bleached silk samples were dyed with basic, reactive and metal complex acid dyes. Then, the dyed samples were aftertreated with syntan, syntan/metal salts and tannic acid/enzymes. Thus, all the dyed and aftertreated samples were washed according to ISO 105 CO6 wash test for silk fiber. However, the effect of a syntan aftertreatment in improving the fastness of basic, reactive and metal complex acid dyes to repeated washing at 50 0 C was enhanced by the sequential application of metal salts (MnSO 4 ,CuSO 4 ,K 2 Cr 2 O 7 ) and enzymes (protease and savinase). This was attributed to the formation of a large molecular size, low water-solubility complex situated at the surface of the dyed substrate which physically resists diffusion of dye from the dyed substrate during washing. The effect of above aftertreatments on light fastness, samples of dyed and aftertreated silk were tested according to ISO 105 BO2 light fastness test. This was observed that aftertreatments had no effect on light fastness of metal complex acid dyes, but the light fastness of the basic dyeings reduced by aftertreatments. در این تحقیق، افزایش ثبات شست و شویی و نوری نمونه های ابریشمی رنگ شده با رنگهای بازیک، راکتیو و متال کمپلکس مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. در مرحله اول نمونه های نخ ابریشمی پس از صمغ گیری و سفیدگری، با هر سه کلاس رنگهای ذکر شده رنگرزی شدند و برای بهبود پارامترهای ثبات بر روی کالا، از افترتریتمنتهای سینتان، سینتان/نمکهای فلزی و تانیک اسید/آنزیمها استفاده شد. به منظور ارزیابی اثر افترتریتمنتهای بکار گرفته شده، بر اساس استاندارد ثبات شست و شویی ISO 105 CO6، هر یک از نمونه ها 5 مرتبه تحت شست و شو قرار گرفتند. پس از هر بار شست و شو مقدار رنگ خارج شده از لیف اندازه گیری شد و پارامتر فاکتور ثبات رنگ محاسبه گردید. نتایج نشان میدهد که افترتریتمنتهای مختلف باعث افزایش و بهبود ثبات شست و شویی رنگها می شوند و افترتریتمنت تانیک اسید/آنزیم بهترین نتیجه را نسبت به سایر روشها داده است که این امر به تشکیل کمپلکسی با وزن مولکولی بالا و حلالیت کم در آب نسبت داده می شود. این کمپلکس در سطح کالای رنگ شده مانع از خروج رنگ در حین عملیات شست و شو می گردد. با مطالعه اثر افترتریتمنتهای مختلف بر روی پارامتر ثبات نوری مطابق با شرایط استاندارد ISO 105 BO2، در می یابیم که افترتریتمنتها بر روی ثبات نوری رنگهای متال کمپلکس بدون تاثیر بوده اند و ثبات نوری رنگهای راکتیو را کمی بهبود بخشیده اند، اما ثبات نوری رنگهای بازیک را کاهش داده اند
