Achieving sustainable development is one of the most important goles for agricultural systems. The use of medicinal herbs due to Iran's specific climatic capacities is one of the ways to make the most of the advantages available in the country. Therefore, the overall purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Production and trade on medicinal plants from the viewpoint of rural households in the Torqabeh County. The research method was library and field research. After determining the research parameters and variables, the necessary data were collected through a questionnaire and then analyzed by software. The statistical population of this research was the rural producers in Taraqaba County. According to the data of the Iranian Statistical Center, the population of Targhabeh was 6029, which includes 1953 rural households and the sample is about 204 rural households. The sample size was calculated using simple random sampling method based on Cochran formula. The results show that the respondents have a high average age, most of them have primary education, low income level and their main occupation is agriculture. Rural households that produce medicinal plants in the region, sell their produce through intermediaries.The area under cultivation and the amount of production per farmer are also very limited (below half a hectare and below half a ton). The social, economic and environmental awareness of the producers is moderate. The social, economic and environmental awareness of the producers is moderate. The findings showed that the amount of medicinal plants produced by each farmer was positively and significantly related to their economic, social, technical and environmental awareness. There is also a positive and significant relationship between the amount of production of the farmer and his environmental perception (that the production of medicinal plants can increase environmental protection). The results of the discriminant analysis showed that the level of economic awareness and awareness of processing plants and product packaging can affect farmer's productivity and promotion of its production.
