A simple and fast procedure is described for evaluating the antioxidant activity of honey, soya oil and sunflower oil by using the chemiluminescence reaction of Bis(2،4،6-trichlorophenyl) oxalate (TCPO) with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of di(tert-butyl)2-(tert-butyl amino)-5-[(E)-2-phenyl-1-ethenyl]3،4-furandicarboxylate as a novel fluorophore. The IC 50 (concentrations of a given antioxidant which reduce the blank emission intensity by 50%) values of all studied antioxidants were calculated and the results were discussed on the basis of structure–antioxidant activity relationship. The linear range for, galic acid, oleic acid, ascorbic acid, TBHQ and BHT were3.3 × 10 ? 7 to 6.6 × 10 ? 5 , 3.3 × 10 ? 7 to 2.6 × 10 ? 5 , 5.5 × 10 ? 7 to 8.6 ×10 ? 5, 4.7 × 10 ? 7 to 1.0 × 10 ? 4 and 3.3 × 10 ? 7 to 4.3 × 10 ? 4 , respectively.Antioxidant activities were in order of gallic acid ascorbic acid TBHQ oleic acid BHT. In this regard, the radical scavenging activity of the studied antioxidants was evaluated using a previously reported Co(II)/EDTA/ • OH/H 2 O 2 -luminol standard system and compared with those obtained by our method. It was found that the proposed method is free of physical quenching and oxidant interference. For this reason، proposed method is able to determine the accurate scavenging activity of the antioxidants to the free radicals. In comparison with previously reported methods , the proposed method is low cost and fast. Finally، the proposed method was applied to the evaluation of antioxidant activity of complex samples such as soybean oil , sunflower oil and honey.
