Knowledge management is a basic factor in the success of the sustainable development for rural area. A village consists of a number of socio- economic cultural phenomena, and needs to be managed based on field surveys and by updated information. This study aims to assess evaluation of the tasks accomplishment by rural authorities in Delfan Township of Lorestan Province. The study was done by a descriptive-surveying method that included field and documentary data. The population of the study consisted of the selected sample from Delfan village Stratified sampling with the appointment of proportional method was used, so that a number of 200 rural residents and 40 members of the rural council, were selected. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient to sensing reliability of the items (was higher than 0.7). software was used For data analysis. Results of the study showed that with the exception of rural governer the field supervisory councils and rural councils interacted with each other. The villagers and the council members both almost equally believed that rural manager office hadnot done their duties well. Activities conducted by rural managers in reaching the objectives adopted in accordance with characteristics of good governance were not efficient. The results of the SERVQUAL model showed that there is a gap in the expectation and perspectives among the villagers of the services provided to them The main obstacles to properly perform tasks by the rural manager office in the view of the sample were: a lack of sufficient and appropriate budget allocation, lack of the people’s participation and cooperation, lack of cooperation among relevant organizations, rural manager’s office lack of awareness of its duties, and lack of training before and during the servicee. Qualitative findings from observations and interviews revealed that the main barriers to perform tasks by rural manager office in rural Delfan were low level of literacy, low population per unit, financial problems, lack of job satisfaction, tribal problems, lack of cooperate village council with the rural managers, rural manager office lack of consult with the villagers, lack of executive guarantee of the decisions made by rural manager office.
