In this project we want to produce La 0.8 Pb 0.2 MnO 3 nanocrtystalline samples. In first section of this project the effect of crystallite size on structural and magnetic properties of powder La 0.8 Pb 0.2 MnO 3 was investigated. The samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction. The results showed that, it is possible to produce LPMO perovskite powders after 10h of ball-milling. Magnetic susceptibility measurements showed that, the magnetization and the transition temperature decline with decreasing of the crystallite size. The frequency dependence of 15h ball milled sample shows the superparamagnetism behavior in this sample. In the next section we investigate the effect of sintering temperature on structural, magnetic and electrical properties of La 0.8 Pb 0.2 MnO 3 . The 1200 o C and 1350 o C samples show the spin-glass behavior. The metal-insulator transition could not be observed in these samples.
