Abrasion resistance is one of the most important properties of textiles, especially in the apparel industry. Hybrid yarn is a component yarn that regarding its structural properties has many adequate usages. In this research, the hybrid yarns in different structure were utilized. The cotton yarn in count of 20Ne and 30Ne, cotton-Polyester yarns in the same count in the pressure of 20, 40 and 60 Bar were commingled by flat and textured polyester yarn in count of 150 denier. Subsequently the produced hybrid yarns were contacted by an abrader object in four stages that each one included 150 cycles. After each stage, some images were prepared. Through image analyzing technique, the effect of abrasion procedure on yarn was investigated and the abrasion indexes were calculated. Then through kohonen net, the yarns were clustered in 5 dir=rtl align=right Results show that the cotton-polyester yarn in count of 30Ne,the produced hybrid yarn from cotton30 and textured polyester yarn in 20,40 and 60 Bar and the hybrid yarn that is made by cotton- polyester 30 and flat polyester yarn in 60 Bar categorize in the best dir=rtl align=right It seems, by increasing the pressure, the contact between the hybrid yarns structure be increased and the abrasion resistance increases. Also cotton yarn and textured polyester yarn provide the best conditions.
