In the present study, the production of sericin nano powder through electrospraying was persued. To produce sericin nano powder through electrospraying, at first, sericin was recovered from bombyx mori cocoons at high temperature and high pressure (HTHP).. To prepare the electoapraying solution, The sericin sponge was dissolved in dimethyl-solfoxide (DMSO) and electrospraying was carried out for a set of conditions including voltage, needle-collector, concentration and feed rate as the important factors affecting the electrosprayed sericin nano particle size.The result of this study showed that electrospraying is capable of producing nano powder with average particles size less than 80 nm as well a having uniform spherical shape. Also it was ascertained that lower concentrations, lower feed rates, longer needle-collector distances lead to a decrease in the average particle size of sericin nano powder.Voltage decreased the particle size up to 20 kV and with higher voltages, the average size increased.
