One of the fields in spintronic is injection of electron spin polarized current from a ferromagnetic into a semiconductor. Half-metallic ferromagnetic with high spin polarization at the Fermi level is an approprit candidate. CrSe compound with half-metallic properties in bulk structure and high Curie temperature is a compound wich can be considered as an appropriate source to produce spin current. However the degree of spin polarization will be reduced by some factors such as interface states. Hence studying interface between half-metallic ferromagnetic and semiconductor is so important. We investigated the electronic and magnetic propertie CrSe/Cd interface. the results show that although the half-metallic property in the interface decrease but the degree of spin polarization is rather high.
