The objective of this research is to develop a relationship between colour and emotion. To do it, forty observers with normal vision were asked to judge twenty single colours on 10 colour emotion scales, namely warm-cool, active-passive, like-dislike, clean-dirty, fresh-stale, modern- kashida; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; TEXT-KASHIDA: 0%; MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt" Finally, using factor analysis technique the principal components of the 10 colour emotion scales were extracted and were compared with the Li Chen Ou world color emotion scales. The results showed that for the Iranian color emotion scales there are three principal components, named colour activity, colour weight and colour heat but the relation of these principal components and the 10 color emotion scales is not similar to the Li Chen Ou one.
