We give a brief review on the Lorentz violating standard model extension (SME). In this context we consider electron-nucleon inelastic scattering.Subsequently we examine the Callan-Gross relation and the Bjorken scaling.We explore electron-muon scattering as well as the semileptonic weak decay of the top quark to find an upper bound on the value of the Lorentz violating coefficient,, in the SME.
