Perforation operation is an elemental step in the process of well completion. It consists creating a flow channel between reservoir and wellbore for the inflow of the reservoir.fluid into the wellbore. Nowadays special consideration is being given to the design of the perforating procedure in order to devise a completion plan that can enhance the final productivity. usually oil and gas wells with cemented casing are perforated , and during perforation a flow path is created with getting help of a high energy detonation by special shaped charges.the effeciency of perforating operation is influenced by many parameters such as, crushed zone permeability, perforation Depth and diameter, angle between the holes and the pressure profile during perforation. This study presents a model of a perforation operation, witch this model investigate about jet liner Collision mechanism with well wall and the amount of pentration metal jet in well.this modeling was made by using Abaqus software. This research identifies and discusses about factors that increase the depth of jet penetration into the well wall. The modeling performed in this study was carried by using numerical finite element method and Abaqus software. This research has identified and discussed the factors that increase the depth of the jet penetration into the well wall. For modeling verification, the experiments carried out by the B.V.T company in the field of perforation that It works in oil and gas wells, under the same conditions as the model under study. the results obtained in terms of the depth of metal jet penetration and jet liner distance to the rock studied in this model and the mechanism explosion has a very good agreement with the results of laboratory data and a very low error rate is observed in the results. jet explosion is adapted in microsecond time and the mecanism of the metal jet in the jet perforation with the models built in previous studies. in experimental study, the bullet was targeted at distances of about 18 and 24 mm of rocks, and enetration depth for this amount respectively is 236 and 156 mm ,and also in the model made in this study with an error rate of about 12% penetration depth is 210 and 175 mm.
