In this research, Au/KIT-6 catalyst was synthesized and used for conversion of ethyl levulinate to ?-valero-lactone. In order to better identify the catalyst, TEM, XPS, XRD, BET, elemental mapping, Raman and SEM techniques were used. Based on the information obtained, KIT-6 with a high surface area and regular properties was prepared and after the placement of gold, its surface area ranged from 939 m² / g to 762 m 2 / g. In order to optimize the conditions for the synthesis of ?-valero-lactone, the rate of return was evaluated by changing the temperature, time, mass of the catalyst, mole ratio of ethyl levulinate to formic acid. Optimum reaction conditions Use 4 ml of Formic Acid and 1 ml Ethyl Levlinate at 220 C° for 90 minutes using 5 mg of Au / KIT-6 Catalyst. Under optimum conditions, the reaction efficiency increased by about 60%. To investigate the catalyst's stability, the catalyst samples used after the reaction were retrieved and used twice, and it was determined that the synthesized catalyst could be recovered twice.
