In this thesis, a series of new complexes were synthesized by using of sugar-modified Schiff-base ligands and bidentate ligands (AHA and BHA) from vanadium(V) alkoxide. These complexes were characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, and NMR spectroscopies, FE-SEM and TGA-DTA analyses. The crystal structure of one of the complexes were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Then, some of the synthesized complexes were used as single source precursor for preparation of oxide nanoparticles. V 2 O 5 nano-oxides were prepared at 400 o C in the static air atmosphere. These nanoparticles were characterized by FE-SEM and XRD analyses. With these complexes, as a precursor, can provided appropriate crystalline nanoparticles
