In this research, four different pincer ligands, T -R-R’ (R = Ph, Me and R’ = Ph, i Pr), were synthesized. Then, their Cu(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis, ESI/MS, and X-ray crystallography. Catalytic properties of [Cu(PPh 2 O 2 ) 2 (py) 2 (H 2 O)] and [CuCl 2 ( T -Ph-Ph)] complexes were investigated in click azide-alkyne cycloaddition. The obtained data showed that complex [CuCl 2 ( T -Ph-Ph)] has better performance in such reactions. All the catalytic products were analyzed by melting point, FT-IR, and NMR spectroscopies.
